Glitter Jailed for Three Years

British rocker Gary Glitter has been jailed for three years for molesting two young Vietnamese girls.

He was also ordered to pay 5 million dong ($422) compensation to the families of the two girls. His computer was also confiscated.

Glitter looked on in disbelief as the verdict was handed down in the packed courtroom.

"Unbelievable," he said as foreign reporters swarmed around him.

"I have not done anything wrong and I am innocent."

He said it was the result of a "conspiracy by you-know-who". He did not elaborate before he was whisked away in a prison van and taken to a local jail.

Two comments.

Firstly, I love any country that has a unit of currency called the Dong.

Secondly, what the bleedin' jesus is he referring to when he says his arrest was a result of a "conspiracy by you-know-who"? Maybe he's been reading too much Harry Potter?
